Abstract

This article studies the principle of equal pay in the European Union enshrined from the Treaties of Rome of 1957 to the current Treaty of Lisbon of 2007. The legal system of the European Union has been legislating on this topic, so Directive 2006/54/ec, Regulation (EC) number 1922/2006, as well as the rulings of the Court of Justice of the European Union are analyzed.
