The Court of Justice of the European Union: historical factor in European economic integration

The different studies on economic integration processes of the European Union reflect the concentration of interest that institutional, state and even personal actors have occupied; However, in the various analyses, the historical role that one of its founding institutions has had in the process of European economic integration has been left aside; the Court of Justice. Over time, the Court of Justice of the European Union has been the guarantor of compliance and interpretation of the various international treaties that have laid the progressive foundations for European economic integration. The purpose of this work is to analyze the role that the Court of Justice of the European Union has had, from the Treaty of the European Coal and Steel Community, to the Treaty of Maastrich, in the conventional evolution in the economic integration process. European Union, which does not mean losing sight of its consolidation in the Treaty of Lisbon.Downloads
