This article proposes an analysis of the role played by the different women candidates for the Presidency of the Republic in Mexico, giving an account of their political trajectories and their popular representation in the national public-political panorama. We focus, in particular, on the two current candidates for the Presidency of Mexico, Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo and Engineer Bertha Xochitl Gálvez Ruíz to account for the perception that the media has or has created around them, with this purpose we carried out an ethnographic exercise in different media to observe how they are represented, that is, how narratives have been constructed that could influence the understanding of their image, therefore, the popular perception of the citizens who will attend the polls to vote on June 2.Downloads
