Abstract

International health cooperation (cis) is a strategy for reducing health risks. Its configuration as part of an international agenda has begun to change in association with the challenges of globalization and poverty. The objective of this document is to analyze the role of international cooperation in health for Mexico and its alliances with the European Union. The CIS cannot achieve its objectives without the active participation of all global actors through their responsibility for meeting objectives and defining priorities. Mexico's versatile nature in international development cooperation gives it a leading role in achieving specific objectives; However, there are still spaces of opportunity in the health sector. States and municipalities also assume this responsibility, both in detecting needs and in seeking international cooperation.
